Robert currently concentrates his practice on representing local governments on property tax, tax collection and tax administration matters, including representation before the North Carolina Property Tax Commission. He also practices in the area of civil litigation. Robert has spent his entire career at Ruff, Bond, Cobb, Wade & Bethune, LLP, having joined the firm in September 1982. Over the course of his career, Robert has represented numerous Mecklenburg County departments, including the Department of Social Services, Mental Health Department, Health Department, Land Use & Environmental Services Department and Risk Management. He is a graduate of The Citadel (B.A. in Business Administration, 1979) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law (JD with Honors, 1982). He has also been a High School Football Referee since 1983.
